About Mister Ed's Elephant Museum and Gift Shop

You'll Never Forget.... Mister Ed's Elephant Museum

On July 5th, 2010 Mister Ed's Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium suffered a horrific fire. As a result, we lost approximately 2000 elephants of the collection. With the tremendous support of our community we were able to save the remainder of the collection and currently have MORE elephants today than we did on the day of the fire. On February 5th, seven month to the day, Mister Ed's reopened its doors to the public. Though the store is quite different in appearance everyone will still be able to find the largest collection of candy, fudge, and peanuts in the area!

Mister Ed's love for elephants started many years ago. He received his first elephant as a good luck gift on his Wedding Day. He has been collecting ever since.

His collection has grown to such an enormous size that his wife made him open a museum to get them out of the house. That was 1975. Since then, Mister Ed's has grown to have the:

  • Elephant Museum....
  • Candy Room.... Largest selection in the area! All of your 'old-time' favorites, including fresh roasted peanuts!
  • Have a stroll through our truck ~ we have the most Pez and magnets you've ever seen!
  • Gift Shop.... Expect the unusual! Gifts from around the world!
  • Visit "Commander Robert Eli," who watches over our lovely fish pond, and his dear friend, "Miss Ellie Phant," who will talk to you, in our expanding outdoor park-like setting.

There are hundreds of elephant gifts and unusual gifts of all kinds.

His collection comes from all over the world and the elephants are made from just about every substance there is. There are elephants for every use, from an elephant hair dryer to an elephant potty chair.

The collection is growing almost daily, as Mister Ed is still buying wherever he travels. Ask him to tell you the story of the elephant lamp he bought in Brazil.

If you have any elephants that you would like to have become a part of the museum, he will accept donations and sometimes he might even buy them.

If you collect elephants or know someone who does, be sure to visit the Elephant Gift Shop, a large variety of elephants that changes constantly. The Elephant Gift Shop offers a great chance to add that unusual elephant or buy someone a wonderful gift.

So, besides touring our FREE admission Elephant Museum.... There are lots to do!

Be sure to check out our new candy pages on our site. Elephants, peanuts and candy....it don't get any better than that!
